Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 2026
Accessibility matters at URevolution because disabled people should be able to use the websites, products and content created for them.
URevolution is an independent, disability-led media, lifestyle and e-commerce brand. We want urevolution.com to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, captions, voice input and other assistive technologies.
Our accessibility standard
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our reference standard for digital accessibility. WCAG is an internationally recognised standard developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
This statement is not a claim that every page or feature on urevolution.com fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is ongoing work, especially on a website that includes legacy content, third-party services and an evolving Shopify storefront.
What we are working to make accessible
Our approach includes:
- using readable type sizes and avoiding unnecessarily difficult typography;
- maintaining sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds;
- providing alternative text for meaningful images where appropriate;
- using descriptive link text rather than relying on vague instructions such as “click here”;
- supporting keyboard navigation and clear focus states where our theme and applications allow;
- using headings and page structure that help people understand and navigate content;
- captioning video where appropriate;
- limiting important information that appears only inside images;
- avoiding flashing or unnecessarily aggressive animation; and
- considering accessibility across mobile as well as desktop experiences.
We also consider accessibility when creating editorial content, product information, images and customer communications. Accessibility should affect how URevolution works, not simply what we say about disability.
Third-party services and limitations
Some parts of urevolution.com rely on Shopify, payment services, embedded media, applications and other third-party technology that URevolution does not fully control. We try to choose and configure these services with accessibility in mind, but we cannot guarantee that every third-party feature will work equally well for every user or assistive technology.
Older pages, articles or images may also reflect accessibility practices that we have since improved. We will address problems as we identify them and prioritise barriers that prevent people from accessing essential content, shopping or contacting us.
Need help or found a barrier?
If something on urevolution.com is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to know.
Please use our Contact Us page and tell us, if you can:
- the page or feature you were trying to use;
- what went wrong or what information you could not access; and
- the browser, device or assistive technology involved, if that information is relevant and you are comfortable sharing it.
We will use that information to understand the barrier and look for a practical way to provide the information or service you need.
Accessibility is part of the work
URevolution talks about disability as part of ordinary human diversity. Our website should reflect that position in practice.
We expect the site, technology and accessibility standards to continue changing. We will review this statement as our website and accessibility work develop.
