A Lifeline. Not a Lecture

$29.95 USD

Sometimes the best thing you can say is, “What do you need?”

When someone is struggling with depression, another lecture about positive thinking isn't necessarily what they need. Sometimes they need someone to listen.

The A Lifeline, Not a Lecture Graphic T-Shirt makes that point with a yellow rescue rope and lifebuoy cutting through swirling water, alongside an empty speech bubble. It's a visual reminder that what someone is experiencing beneath the surface isn't always obvious.

Inspired by Corinne Gray's URevolution Magazine essay Why Depression Is Like Drowning – And How to Stay Afloat, this original design asks a simple question: what if we listened before offering advice?

Printed on a soft, lightweight unisex T-shirt with a little stretch, it's comfortable for everyday wear and carries a message worth talking about.

A lifeline. Not a lecture.

How to measure

Sizing Guide

Length

Measure from the highest point of the shoulder near the collar straight down to the bottom hem.

Size Chart
 – humblebeastfitco

Width

Measure across a T-shirt laid flat, from one armpit to the other.

Size Chart
 – Cloud Nine

Chest

Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the measuring tape level.

Fit tip: For the most reliable comparison, measure a T-shirt you already own and like the fit of, then compare its length and width with this chart. The chest measurement refers to the recommended body circumference, while width is the garment measured flat.

The fabric is pre-shrunk, but this does not guarantee zero shrinkage after washing.
