Lev Raphael was an early reader and fell in love with narrative when he discovered Isaac Azimov in second grade. He's living his childhood dream of being an author, with 27 books published in many genres. His work has been translated into 15 languages, widely anthologized and taught at universities across the U.S.--which means he's been homework. He himself escaped academia many years ago to write and review full time, but recently did a six-year stint teaching creative writing at Michigan State University. He currently teaches workshops and mentors, coaches and edits writers at https://www.writewithoutborders.com.
